Will the Xeno hub fit your bike?
Our revolutionary, patented drive-system design comes with a different set of dimensions and clearance requirements compared to some other hubs on the market.
The area in which the drive system is located, takes up slightly more space near the disc brake mount than normal.
ISO Brake Mounts
All ISO mount frames will fit but the extent of modification needed can vary from none at all to over 1mm: If you are running an ISO to post mount adaptor then you may need to file a small amount of material off the adaptor, depending on its shape and thickness, to clear the ratchet cap and bolt heads.
Post Brake Mounts
Most post mount frames will fit just fine, however a small number of post mount bike frames may have minimal clearance for the hub.
Firstly: Check on our compatibility list (below) to see if your bike will fit.
If your bike isn't on our compatibility list you can either measure your bike in the area of the rear disc calliper attachment or have us send you one of our 3d printed clearance tools.

How to use the 3D printed clearance tool:
-
Remove your rear wheel from your bike frame.
-
Put your bolt through half way through your rear dropouts
-
Thread the clearance tool onto the bolt though at this point, making sure the protruding hub insert part is facing the disc side of your dropouts (the writing on the back of the clearance tool should be facing the drive side)
-
Thread your bolt through into your frame 2-3 turns (you don't need to do it up tight as there is nothing in the frame for the bolt through to compress against)
-
Push the clearance tool very lightly against the disc-side dropout and rotate the tool 360 degrees around the axle. If the tool rotates freely, not coming into contact with the frame at all, whilst keeping contact with the left dropout, then a standard Xeno hub will fit your bike.
The different corners of the tool are numbered and represent different fitting options. If not all the corners clear the frame, look at which corners can rotate a full 360 degrees without touching any part of the frame and note down the numbers on the back. You can then email us and we will explain extra clearance options and help you order an alternative clearance* hub cap.
If you have used this tool, please let us know your bike Make, Model and Year as well as the clearance details so we can expand our database and create a larger, more helpful KOM community.
If you are serious about buying a KOM Xeno hub, your bike isn't on our list and you want KOM to send you a clearance tool:

-
Please send the tool back to us or pass it on to a friend. (Please tell us the result of your test and bike model so that we can share the information with others.)
Alternatively, if you have access to a 3D printer you can use this file.*
*Make sure that your part prints correctly without mistakes and also prints completely flat.
*A low clearance attachment of the drive system is available for bike frames with not enough space for the standard system. This includes a different ratchet cap; 4 smaller diameter low clearance bolts and 4 nuts + washers to do up behind the standard brake lugs. This adds approximately an extra 5mm of clearance.
If we are unable to ship a tool to you, you can take the required measurements yourself:
For your frame to clear our hub you will need a 34mm radius from the centre of the bolt through (or 28mm from the edge of a 12mm bolt through) 11mm away from where the disc side of the hub contacts the frame.
If you have any queries please don't hesitate to contact us.
